Another Avenue Youth Advocates A program of It Starts With Us Foundation
Another Avenue Youth Advocates provides mentorship to at-risk teens and young adults ages 16-25. Mentor-youth partners work together on practical life skills such as budgeting, cooking, parenting, and academic tutoring. Mentors provide a consistent, encouraging presence for teens and young adults who need support to reach their full potential. Regardless of your background, we are here to help you reach your goals and move forward towards a successful future.
Between the ages of 16-25 or up to 28 if you have a disability that impacts your ability to develop independent living skills.
Considered an at-risk teen or young adult
At risk include foster and former foster youth, teen parents, those who are homeless or without a fixed address, involvement with law enforcement, LGBTQ+ without family support, emancipated minors, individuals with disabilities who need additional support in developing independent living skills, and those at risk of not graduating from high school. If you are not sure you qualify please contact us to discuss your situation.
Not currently in another mentorship program besides high school peer mentorships.
